Wolverhampton’s Premier Casino – Casino 36 has been fined by the UK Gambling Commission over serious AML and social breaches for a hefty amount of £300,000.
As per the report submitted by UKGC, Casino 36 failed to conduct adequate customer due diligence, source of funds and source of wealth checks for a total of 33 customers. UKGC claims that the combined spend at the Casino 36 for the 33 individuals was £147,741 between November 2017 and October 2018.
In an interview, UKGC Executive Director, Richard Watson said this could’ve caused some serious damage as stolen money could have flowed unchecked through the casino.
In May, four popular gaming operators – InTouch Games Limited, Betit Operations Limited, MT Secure Trade, and BestBet Limited were fined for £4.5 million by the UK Gambling Commission over AML compliance breach.
